Space-A flights at Travis Air Force Base use the 60th Aerial Port Squadron passenger terminal in Fairfield, California. Official AMC pages title it the "Gateway to the Pacific," AMC's West Coast CONUS passenger terminal. Travis is an Air Mobility Command mobility base, distinct from the Sea-Tac commercial gateway farther north. Check current AMC pages for hours and any rotator notices before travel.

Where is the passenger terminal?

Travis AFB Passenger Service Terminal, 400 Burgan Blvd, Bldg P3, Travis AFB, CA 94535-2941.

GPS Burgan Blvd / Bldg P3, not a generic “Travis AFB” pin. On base. The AMC page does not publish a terminal-map URL.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The AMC Travis page does not print passenger-gate names or 24/7 gate hours. Do not trust housing-site “Hospital Gate 24/7” lists as official.

  • Visitor Center: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Friday; 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday–Sunday. U.S.-citizen visitor requests. Phone (707) 424-1462 · 60sfs.s3.vcc@us.af.mil
  • Visitors need a REAL ID-compliant ID or a second form (SSN card, U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport), a military-affiliated sponsor, and a background check. Passes cannot exceed 30 days.
  • South Commercial Gate: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon–Fri; 6 a.m.–noon Saturday; closed Sunday. Personal vehicles: do not use it.

CAC / DoD ID holders use an open vehicle-access gate. A 0400 roll call when VCC is closed is a planning problem if you do not already have installation access. Confirm with VCC / the service counter.

Do not publish AMC (312) as commercial. Travis commercial is 707. Unofficial second numbers such as 424-5770/5774 are not on the AMC page.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Email 60aps.SpaceA@us.af.mil, or use the HQ AMC Space-A email form and select Travis AFB CA.

HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Print the form or confirmation. If you get no confirmation, call option 3.

DoDI 4515.13 reminder on the Travis page: no Space-A reservations, no guaranteed onward/return travel. Bring enough money for commercial tickets and lodging if you miss.

How and when do I mark present?

Not printed on the AMC Travis HTML page. The page points you to the 72-hour schedule and Roll Call PDFs for times. Remote email sign-up is not “present.”

Have ID (with DoD ID number — see documents), passports, orders, and all bags. Park or return the rental before you compete for a seat.

When is roll call?

Not printed as a fixed “N hours prior” on the AMC HTML page. Use the 72-Hour Flight Schedule and Roll Call icons. The June 2026 stamp said updates post daily NLT 1200L.

Doors open 1 hour prior to roll call if the terminal would otherwise be closed (after 2200 or before 0400).

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Not printed as a clock-time NLT on the AMC Travis HTML page (unlike Ramstein/BWI/Dover). Read the 72-hour PDF and the Travis AFB AMC Gram (Quick Links). Inactive Duty Training (IDT) travelers may ride Space-R with a signed TA / memo showing dates and locations; head tax/FIS, meals, and excess-bag fees are collected at check-in.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

Yes. Travis publishes a 30-day schedule icon. The AMC page explicitly discusses the Patriot Express / rotator to JB Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI.

That is the only PE destination named on the HTML page. Organic missions go other places; those show on the 72-hour board, not as a published PE city list. Do not quote live seats. Check the current 30-day and 72-hour PDFs (the capture here is 16 Jun 2026).

Pets on that Hickam PE/rotator: reservations unavailable until further notice from the 618th AOC.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Short-term (AMC page): Terminal lot, Space-A / Space-R passengers flying out of Travis only, 30 days max, first-come first-served. RVs and trailers not authorized. Vehicles over 30 days may be cited/towed and barred from the lot for a minimum of 30 days. Must meet state/base registration, license, insurance, safety. Government not liable for loss/theft/vandalism.

Curb: 2-hour parking limit in front of the Passenger Terminal.

Long-term: Travis AFB Outdoor Recreation (ODR) — AMC page links https://travisfss.com/odr/longterm/ (RV/boat/auto). ODR page: 273 Ellis Dr., Bldg 863; 24-hour access; paved and unpaved lots; listed auto space $80 (paved or unpaved) with other RV/boat rates; current registration and insurance; monthly auto-bill or full-term pay; customers must live within 50 miles or obtain a power of attorney. “Please Contact PAX Terminal for Space A.” Prices subject to change. The AMC page does not print walking distance. Unofficial “Westwind Inn” branding is not on the AF Inns property title; use the AF Inns listing.

Off-base: Not listed on the AMC HTML page. Check the Travis AMC Gram. No rates published here.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

The AMC Travis page does not document a terminal USO, grill, Wi-Fi, showers, or lockers. Do not copy unofficial “Pacific Gateway Grill 0730–1530” or “USO Bldg 480 / 1348” hours as verified.

If you need a USO, confirm a current official USO Bay Area / Travis listing yourself; older relocation articles conflict and are not used here.

What documents are required?

Effective 25 July 2025 (AMC Travis banner): If the ID card does not show a DoD ID number, the PSA must collect it. Retrieve it from MilConnect (guide PDF linked on the terminal page).

Duty / IDT Space-R: Valid ID plus TA / orders / FCG documents (passport, visa, country clearance as required).

Space-A: DoDI 4515.13 eligibility plus destination documents.

Service animals to Hawaii: Hawaii Dept. of Agriculture links on the AMC page (aqs-info and guide-service-dogs-entering-hawaii). Do not treat those as a substitute for AMC pet booking.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags: Not printed as a 2×70 lb line on the Travis HTML capture. Do not invent them. Use orders, the AMC Gram, and the agent. AMC-wide 2×70 lb / 62 linear is common but not quoted on this page.

Fees: Travis collects head tax (Space-A on DoD commercial-contract missions arriving/departing CTUS↔OCONUS), segment fee (Space-A CONUS–CONUS on commercial-contract missions between commercial airports), and FIS (Space-A arriving CTUS from OCONUS on PE through commercial gateways). Dollar amounts are in a 2025 Head Tax PDF, not in the HTML. This FAQ does not invent $23.40 / $41.63 for Travis. IDT Space-R: head tax/FIS, meal charges, and excess-bag fees at check-in.

Can I travel with pets from here?

Hickam PE/rotator pet reservations: no, until further notice from 618th AOC.

Other missions: the AMC HTML page does not publish a general “pets yes/no.” Service-animal Hawaii rules are linked separately. Call option 3 before you count on a pet slot. See the AMC Pet Travel page.

On the official AMC Travis page (June 2026 capture):

Will the doors be open for a 2300 roll call?

Posted hours end 2200L, but the page says doors open 1 hour prior to roll call during closure hours. Confirm the 72-hour PDF; do not assume a 0100 show without checking.

Can I leave a car 45 days in the terminal lot?

No. 30 days maximum, Space-A/Space-R outbound only, no RVs/trailers. Over-limit vehicles can be towed and banned for 30 days. Use ODR long-term storage (and note ODR’s 50-mile / POA rule).

Can I park at the curb while I mark present?

2-hour limit in front of the terminal. Do not treat it as overnight.

Is the Hickam rotator a reliable pet channel?

No. Pets on that PE are unavailable until further notice.

I’m Guard/Reserve going to a UTA. Can I Space-R?

Possibly IDT Space-R if you present a signed TA/memo with dates and locations, plus ID and FCG docs. Fees still apply. Ask a PSA; this is not Space-A.

My dependent ID has no DoD ID number. Am I refused?

The 25 Jul 2025 policy says the PSA must solicit the number (MilConnect), not that you are automatically denied. Bring the number printed. Speak to a PSA.

Is there a USO in Bldg P3?

Not on the AMC page. Do not plan on terminal-USO snacks/showers.

What’s the commercial DSN-style 312 number?

Do not use (312) as a Travis commercial number. Dial (707) 424-1854. DSN is 837-1854.

Where is long-term RV storage?

ODR, 273 Ellis Dr., Bldg 863, https://travisfss.com/odr/longterm/ — not the terminal 30-day lot.

Do I need a sponsor to get on Travis as a retiree?

If you already have a valid DoD ID that the gate accepts, follow gate procedures. If you need a visitor pass, travis.af.mil says all visitors must have a military-affiliated sponsor and VCC hours are daytime. Confirm with VCC.

Are head-tax dollar amounts on the page?

No. Only a link to the 2025 Head Tax PDF. Open that PDF or ask the counter; do not reuse another terminal’s $23.40 here.

Is Travis still “Gateway to the Pacific”?

That is the page’s own title line. It is a high-volume Pacific gateway, not a seat promise.
