Official AMC pages place the terminal on the perimeter road, apart from lodging and the main base. The host 52nd Fighter Wing flies F-16s for USAFE and NATO. Space-A flights here are AMC en-route travel from a USAFE fighter base, not the Ramstein aerial-port hub.

Where is the passenger terminal?

726th AMS Passenger Terminal, Bldg. 670 / AMC Campus, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.

The AMC page: the terminal is on the perimeter road, approximately three miles from lodging and the main part of base. About one hour northwest of Ramstein AB and about two hours from Frankfurt International Airport. GPS Bldg 670 / AMC Campus, not a generic “Spangdahlem” pin. On base. No terminal-map URL on the AMC page.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The AMC Spangdahlem page does not print gate names or gate hours. Do not invent a West/East gate plan from blogs.

From spangdahlem.af.mil Getting Here fact sheet (search-indexed; direct fetch 403 on 27 Aug 2026): the main gate is off the first traffic circle you enter when following signs to Spangdahlem. CAC / installation-pass holders use an open vehicle-access gate. Retirees and dependents without current access should not assume a 0330 Sunday arrival is possible. Confirm with the passenger terminal / Visitor’s Center before you drive.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (AMC page): Monday–Sunday 24 Hour Operations in effect.

The same page also says passenger-terminal operating hours are based on runway or flight line hours, and that Space-A flights will not be advertised outside of normal operating hours. 24/7 ops is the contact-block rule; flight-line hours can still constrain what is advertised. Confirm on the 72-hour board.

Phone-format (not a different number): AMC page hyphenates 0656-561-8866. HQ AMC directory prints 011-49-6565-61-8866 (and sandbox (314) 452-8866). Digits are the German 06565-61-8866 grouping. From Germany dial the 06565 form; from CONUS 011-49-6565-61-8866. Do not publish AMC (312) as commercial. USAFE DSN prefix in the sandbox listing is 314, not 312.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

The AMC page has Sign Up For Space Available (points at the HQ AMC form). Select Spangdahlem AB Germany, or email 726AMS.TRP@US.AF.MIL. HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Print confirmation. If you get no confirmation, call the counter.

If the sponsor is traveling alone, the page says the only documentation needed is leave paperwork, passports, and identification card.

How and when do I mark present?

The AMC page does not use the phrase “mark present.” Roll calls are at the AMC ticket counter. Remote email sign-up is not presence. Have leave papers, passports, ID, and all bags.

When is roll call?

4 hours prior to departure at the AMC ticket counter, unless the 72-hour schedule says otherwise.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Duty: Be in line NLT 4 hours prior to scheduled departure (page: ample time to complete passenger processing). Late = not the NLT the page asks for.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

Not published as a PE gateway on the AMC Spangdahlem page. Live snippets describe organic missions, a 72-hour forecast, and a UK ETA requirement for flights scheduled to the UK — not a rotator city list. Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

The AMC Spangdahlem page does not document a terminal USO, snack bar, Wi-Fi, showers, or lockers. Do not copy unofficial amenity hours.

What documents are required?

Sponsor traveling alone: leave paperwork, passports, and ID card.

Duty: be in line NLT 4 hours prior; have orders/passports as required.

Space-A: DoDI 4515.13 eligibility, plus destination FCG / Force Health Protection.

UK: ALL FLIGHTS SCHEDULED TO THE UK REQUIRE THE UK ETA FORM. That is the AMC Spangdahlem banner. It is not a substitute for checking current UK ETA rules for your passport. Have the form on your person.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags (AMC page): 2 bags per person, 70 lb and 62 linear inches each. One carry-on plus one personal item that must fit under any aircraft seat.

Fees: Not published on the AMC Spangdahlem HTML snippets. No PE head-tax line.

Can I travel with pets from here?

Is it really 24/7 if they will not advertise Space-A after “normal operating hours”?

Contact block is 24-hour operations. Advertised Space-A is limited to what 726 AMS will post, and runway/flight-line hours can constrain ops. Use the 72-hour board, not a blog “always open for roll call” line.

How far is lodging from the terminal?

AMC: about three miles on the perimeter road from lodging/main base. Do not assume you can walk it with bags in the rain at 0200. Inn shuttle is lodging-managed, for a fee.

Do I need a UK ETA for a hop that only *might* go to Mildenhall?

The banner is: all flights scheduled to the UK require the UK ETA form. If the 72-hour line is a UK destination, have it. Confirm current UK ETA rules for your nationality; the AMC banner does not replace FCG/Home Office.

Is Spangdahlem a PE gateway to BWI?

Not on this AMC page. Ramstein/Mildenhall are the Europe PE pages. Do not build a BWI itinerary on a Spangdahlem rumor.

0656-561-8866 vs 06565-61-8866 — which is right?

Same digits, different hyphens. Page prints 0656-561-8866. Directory international is 011-49-6565-61-8866. From Germany use 06565-61-8866.

Which DSN prefix — 312 or 314?

Do not dial (312) as a German or U.S. commercial number. Terminal page prints DSN 452-8866 only. Sandbox/directory USAFE prefix is 314.

Can I show 2 hours prior like some CONUS terminals?

No for the published NLT. Duty NLT is 4 hours; roll call is 4 hours prior. A 2-hour show misses the printed NLT.

Is there parking at Bldg 670?

Not published on the AMC HTML. Ask the counter. Unofficial lots are flagged unofficial.

Does Eifel Arms take pets?

AF Inns lists pet-friendly / pet area for Spangdahlem AB. Contact the desk (011-49-6565-948-9989 / DSN 314-452-0500). No rates here.

Visitor’s Center hours?

Not printed on the AMC page or in the phone-listing snippet (number only: DSN 452-7414). Do not invent 24/7 VCC. Confirm before a late arrival without a pass.

Are unofficial “Ramstein overflow / daily C-130 to SP” lists official?

No. Only the live 72-hour PDF. 726 AMS will not forecast past three days.

Do I need more than leave papers if dependents are with me?

The “leave, passport, ID only” line is for a sponsor traveling alone. Dependents need their own IDs/passports per DoDI 4515.13 and destination FCG. The page does not print a CAT-V letter template.
