Naval Air Station Jacksonville occupies more than 3,800 acres on the St. Johns River in northeast Florida and lists a Navy passenger terminal on the AMC CONUS directory. Official Navy pages call it the largest installation in Navy Region Southeast and the East Coast home of Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 11's P-8A Poseidon squadrons. Space-A flights here are Navy air-terminal travel, not an Air Force aerial port or a commercial-airport gateway.

Where is the passenger terminal?

The AMC Jacksonville HTML does not print a street pin. Workbook lead 6801 Roosevelt Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32212 is the installation mailing address used elsewhere — it is not on the AMC contact block.

GPS the AMC passenger terminal, not a generic “NAS Jacksonville” or Roosevelt Blvd pin. On base. The AMC page does not publish a terminal-map URL.

Official lodging pins are on Mustin Road (Navy Lodge Bldg 802 / NGIS 844 Mustin). USO Florida is 6801 Yorktown Avenue, Building 1050 (before the Yorktown security gate), not inside the terminal.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The AMC Jacksonville page does not print gate names or gate hours.

From official CNIC NAS Jacksonville Base Information (search-indexed 27 Aug 2026; CNIC HTML fetch 403):

  • Yorktown Gate (Yorktown Ave.) — open 24 hours, 7 days a week (main gate). Official NGIS Jacksonville also: Yorktown Gate 24/7.
  • Birmingham Gate (south of Yorktown) — 5 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday–Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday. NGIS: 0500–1730 M–F, excluding holidays (same clock).
  • Commercial Gate (north of Yorktown) — 5 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday.

Visitor Control Center: CNIC 2025 VHIC/sponsor PDFs place VCC in Building 9 at the NAS Jax Main (Yorktown) Gate. Hours on that PDF: Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; Saturdays 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Phone printed (904) 542-4530. CAC / DoD ID holders use an open vehicle-access gate. Retirees and dependents without current installation access should not assume a Sunday 0500 show is possible if VCC is the only way in.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (AMC page wins): 0730 to 1630, Monday to Friday. Subject to change according to flight arrivals and departures.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Use the HQ AMC Space-A email form and select NAS Jacksonville FL, or email spaceajax@us.navy.mil.

HQ AMC does not process sign-up. The AMC form warns the terminal may not receive the email. Print the completed form or confirmation and bring it. The Jacksonville HTML does not reprint a unique local field list.

How and when do I mark present?

The AMC page does not use the phrase “mark present.” Roll calls are at the AMC ticket counter. Remote email sign-up is not presence.

Have documents and bags with you. Leftover sentence still recommends arriving about one or two hours prior to roll call “due to medical screening.” Treat COVID medical screening as dated leftover; the still-current clock is roll call 3 hours prior.

When is roll call?

3 hours prior to departure at the AMC ticket counter, unless the current 72-hour product says otherwise.

On the 16 Jun 2026 capture the Roll Call icon pointed at ROLLCALL12MAR26.pdf — filename is 12 Mar 2026, not a standing August board. Use today’s icon, not the March PDF.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Duty: Counters open 6 hours prior to departure. Be in line NLT 3 hours 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Late arrivals go to Customer Service for re-booking, or as PCS orders instruct. The page says see the 30 Day Schedule for “Counters Open” times.

GTMO rotator early check-in (HTML, policy dated 3 Feb 2022): 0900–1500 the day prior to the rotator flight to GTMO Cuba.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

The AMC HTML does not print the words “Patriot Express.” It does publish a 30-day schedule icon and names a rotator flight to GTMO Cuba.

On the 16 Jun 2026 capture that 30-day file was 30DAYSCH12MAR26.pdf (dated 12 Mar 2026). That is not a current-month board. Open the live 30-day icon. This FAQ does not quote destinations or live seats from a March PDF.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Not published on the AMC Jacksonville HTML. Do not copy unofficial “two-week air terminal parking” figures (base-directory listings are unofficial leads only). Ask the service counter. Do not invent a max-day figure.

What lodging is nearby on-base and off-base?

Not in the passenger terminal on the AMC HTML (no USO, snack bar, Wi-Fi, showers, or lockers published).

USO Florida — NAS Jacksonville (official center page, 27 Aug 2026) is 6801 Yorktown Avenue, Building 1050, before the Yorktown security gate — not the AMC hold room. Hours Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Phone +1 904-608-5946. Amenities on that page: snacks/beverages/snack bar, Wi-Fi, CAC computers, printers, charging, library, bathrooms. What documents are required?

Duty / space-required: Travel orders and the documents listed for your destination. Have them on your person.

Space-A: Eligibility under DoDI 4515.13, plus passports/visas / Foreign Clearance Guide as required. Bring sign-up proof.

Do not pack passports in a checked bag.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags (AMC Jacksonville page): 2 bags per person, 70 lb and 62 linear inches each. One carry-on plus one personal item that must fit under any aircraft seat.

Fees: Not published (no PE head-tax dollar figure, no cash-vs-card rule) on the AMC HTML. Do not copy another terminal’s fee.

Can I travel with pets from here?

The page links the AMC Pet Travel page. It does not publish a Jacksonville-specific pet-slot policy, kennel rules, or a “pets not accepted” banner. Navy Lodge and NGIS are both pet-friendly for lodging. You own the paperwork. See the AMC Pet Travel page.

Is the terminal 24/7?

No on the AMC page. Posted 0730–1630 Monday–Friday, mission-variable. CNIC’s 6 a.m.–9 p.m. daily is a second official conflict. Workbook 24/7 is stale.

Is spaceajaxs@us.navy.mil the signup box?

Workbook/directory use the extra s. The AMC terminal page prints spaceajax@us.navy.mil. Use that, and keep a printout.

Which number is the recording?

(904) 542-3956 / 3825. Counter is (904) 542-8165 / 8159. Do not mix them. Directory 8159/3956 concatenates both.

Is DSN 942-8142 a typo for 8159?

Unknown. AMC contact block prints 942-8142. CNIC prints 942-8159. Do not invent a fix. Commercial 904-542-8165 / 8159.

Does JAX still fly a GTMO rotator?

The HTML still describes early check-in 0900–1500 the day prior for the rotator to GTMO Cuba (policy dated 3 Feb 2022). That is not this week’s 30-day board. Open the live 30-day icon.

Are the 12 Mar 2026 PDFs today’s board?

No. They were already months old on the 16 Jun 2026 capture. Open whatever file the live icon points to.

Which gate for a Saturday show?

Yorktown (24/7) for vehicle access if you already have a pass/CAC. Birmingham is closed weekends. VCC Saturday hours on the 2025 PDF end 3 p.m. A visitor without a pass after VCC close is a planning problem.

Is the USO in the terminal?

No. Bldg 1050 on Yorktown, before the gate. Closed Saturday–Sunday on the USO page. Do not plan terminal snacks from USO.

Navy Lodge 904-542-3138?

That number is on the NEX NGIS table, not the Lodge. Lodge desk (904) 772-6000. NGIS property page 904-586-3311.

Can I pay a PE head tax here?

No PE fee is printed. Do not copy Ramstein’s card-only $41.63.

Do I still show an extra hour early for medical screening?

Leftover COVID language. Standing clock: roll call 3 hours prior; duty NLT 3h20m.

6801 Roosevelt Blvd or Mustin Road?

AMC does not print either. Roosevelt Blvd is the workbook/installation lead. Lodging is Mustin Road. Confirm the terminal pin with the counter if a form requires a street.
