Where is the passenger terminal?

Passenger-terminal building is not stated on the live Space-A page.

GPS the ANG installation / Shepherd Field (KMRB), not a generic “Martinsburg” downtown pin. Official: see a Passenger Services Representative for a base map — no map URL. How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The live Space-A page does not print gate names or gate hours. Ground transportation is not provided by the 167th Airlift Wing. Vehicles cannot be rented on the installation; transportation is not provided to rental-car dealerships. Official page lists off-base Enterprise (901 North Queen Street) and Hertz (5852 Shepherdstown Road) as local companies — not a shuttle.

FAQ also describes generic AMC remote sign-up (email or fax of documentation) — the live Martinsburg page does not print a mailbox or a fax number. Do not invent them. Self sign-up is described as a generic AMC FAQ, not a published Martinsburg counter clock.

Travelers remain on the register 60 days or the duration of orders/authorization, whichever occurs first. Category + date/time of registration. Martinsburg is not on the HQ AMC 40-location email form. HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Print whatever confirmation the form/PSA gives you. This FAQ did not call or email.

How and when do I mark present?

Official FAQ: On the day you would like to travel, you must see a passenger service agent to be marked present. Once marked present you may compete for Space-A in the next 24 hours. Once selected you must be travel ready: all family members present, travel documents verified, baggage ready for check-in. Remote form/phone sign-up is not presence.

Space-required passengers or cargo may require removal of Space-A pax at any point. If removed en route, you may re-register with your original date and time. Check in at each in-transit terminal within six (6) hours of arrival.

When is roll call?

Not published as a standing “N hours prior” or as a roll-call PDF/URL. FAQ mentions the Roll Call process (date/time of sign-up determines the next selected passenger in category). Mark present with a PSA the day of travel. Limited flight information up to 72 hours is phone (Travel Information Desk), not a URL (security). This FAQ does not quote live showtimes.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Not published as a separate PE/duty NLT (this is not a PE gateway). Use mark present the day you want to travel and the Travel Information Desk. Duty/PCS still work through orders / TMO. Unique-passenger limits (pregnancy, infants, mobility) on the Space-A page still apply.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

No. C-17 / mission-dependent. Max 6 Space-A passengers per flight is a capacity cap, not today’s board. No 30-day PE icon. Official: the 167th AW cannot guarantee a thru flight once passengers reach the next destination. Most trips are positioning legs unless it is a Guardlift mission (see extras). The 167th does not offer connecting and/or commercial flights. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Overnight: park in the North Lot. See a Passenger Services Representative for a base map. Max days: not published — do not invent one. Vehicle Pass line on Contact Us is (304) 616-5276 (installation, not a PAX permit SOP).

What lodging is nearby on-base and off-base?

On base: none. Official: “Currently, there is no billeting available on base.” Air Force Inns directory (27 Aug 2026) has no Martinsburg ANGB / 167 AW property. Not published.

Off-base: the official Space-A page lists several Martinsburg-area hotels at travelers’ expense. No nightly rates published here. Do not treat that list as rooms tonight.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

No full-service provisions on the installation. Vending machines and coffee while waiting. Refrigerator for perishable food you bring. No in-flight meals on any flight. Base Exchange open on a limited basis. Wi-Fi / showers / lockers / USO not published. Do not invent a snack bar.

What documents are required?

Space-A (official FAQ): valid DoD ID; travel authorizations (leave form, unaccompanied dependent memorandum, EML, DD Form 1853, or emergency orders). International: valid passport prior to selection. Passports, visas, and immunization records checked per DoD Foreign Clearance Guide. Prior to boarding, ID cards matched against the final passenger manifest. Dependents under 10 without an ID: proof of age (birth certificate, passport, or other government document).

Duty / space-required: travel orders and destination documents on your person.

Unique passengers (printed): pregnant travelers up to 34 weeks; post-partum six weeks after delivery; infants at least six weeks. Infant car seats not mandatory on AMC but strongly encouraged (FAA-certified if used). Differently abled: if selected for a C-5 mission and the passenger can, with assistance, negotiate the internal stairs, travel may be accepted (page cites 24-101). Wheelchairs: mobility equipment eligible; motorized assistance 100 lbs maximum (FAQ). Service animals: see pets.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags (official FAQ): Space-A may check two pieces at 70 pounds each per person. Families may pool as long as the total does not exceed the total allowance. Hand-carry one small bag and one personal item. Age-allowances block also prints 62 linear inches and that hand-carried bags must fit under a seat or in an overhead compartment if available. Standard duffle bags noted. Excess not described as authorized.

Can I travel with pets from here?

No for Space-A. Official FAQ: “No, DoD has reserved pet shipments for passengers in Permanent Change of Station (PCS) ONLY.” NOTE: Service animals may fly with a member with proper documentation. No. It is a max of six Space-A pax per flight, selected by sign-up time and category. Cargo / space-required can remove Space-A at any point.

Will this C-17 take me all the way?

Usually not. Official: Martinsburg is mostly a positioning leg — you deplane at the first stop and recompete even if the jet later goes somewhere like Ramstein. Guardlift (ANG-purchased mission): you may travel to the final destination unless cargo / ACL / hazmat bumps you. Thru flight not guaranteed.

5801, 5153, 5188, or 5120?

5801 = Travel Information (registration). 5153 = Passenger Services. 5188 = Air Transportation Operations. 5120 = AMC-directory extra / 2008 fact sheet, not on the live Space-A three-line block. Do not silently pick. Do not publish AMC (312) as commercial.

What does “marked present” actually mean here?

See a PSA the day you want to travel. Then you compete for the next 24 hours. All family members present and bags ready if selected. Passengers are not required to attend every selection.

Is facebook.com/167AW the terminal board?

No. Wing PA. Not a schedule channel.

North Lot — how many days?

Not published. Overnight in the North Lot; map from a PSA. Do not invent a max-day figure.

C-5 stairs on a C-17 wing?

The live page’s unique-passenger line cites C-5 internal stairs (24-101). The wing flies C-17s. Print the C-5 sentence as written; do not rewrite it into a C-17 stair policy. Confirm mobility limits with Passenger Services 5153 — this FAQ did not call.

Can I use the HQ AMC 40-location form?
