The Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland passenger terminal operates Space-A flights from former Kelly Air Force Base—now Kelly Field—on the west side of San Antonio, not Randolph and not Fort Sam Houston. A 502d Air Base Wing article documents 502d Logistics Readiness Squadron passenger services there. JBSA-Lackland is also home to U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training. This is an Air Transportation Function on the Lackland campus, not an AMC gateway.

Where is the passenger terminal?

Dated official article (10 Feb 2017), not a 2026 AMC PAX HTML: 407 S. Frank Luke Dr., Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Passenger Terminal at old Kelly Air Force Base (later Kelly Field). Workbook address cell matches that 2017 line.

On the installation. No published terminal-map URL on an AMC PAX page (there isn’t one). GPS 407 S. Frank Luke Dr., not a generic “Lackland AFB” pin and not JBSA-Randolph.

A 2017 photo caption shows a C-5M boarding from this terminal. That is not a 2026 aircraft promise.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The AMC directory row and the 2017 article do not print which gate serves 407 S. Frank Luke Dr. Do not invent “use Luke East for the PAX terminal.”

Visitors without a DoD ID need a sponsor with a valid DoD ID (jbsa.mil Real ID / visitor pages). BDOC Lackland 210-671-2018. CAC / retiree / dependent ID holders use an open vehicle gate. Do not process at Randolph or Fort Sam Houston for this Kelly Field counter.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours — dated 10 Feb 2017 official article only; not re-confirmed 2026: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (0730–1630). AMC directory row does not print hours. jbsa.mil homepage does not print a 2026 PAX clock. Treat 0730–1630 as dated 2017, not a promise the 2026 counter is staffed those hours.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

2017 official article (dated): AMC Form 140 in person or email 502LRS.LGRDAS.SPACEA@us.af.mil. “Emails do not receive a reply” — bring a digital or printed copy of the sent message; the documented date/time of sign-up will be honored. Sign-up good for 60 days.

2026 directory: same mailbox (lowercase local-part). HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Lackland is not on the HQ 40-location form list. Print confirmation / the sent header. This FAQ did not call or email.

How and when do I mark present?

Dated 2017 article: a roll-call time is posted with the 72-hour schedule on Facebook. Show times typically last about 40 minutes; once it closes, nobody can mark themselves present. Remote email is not presence. Must be on leave, with Form 988 and CAC, to be considered.

That 40-minute window is 2017 language, not a 2026 standing clock. Use whatever roll-call time the current Facebook 72-hour post prints.

When is roll call?

Not published as a standing “N hours prior” on an AMC PAX HTML. 2017 article: roll-call time is posted with the 72-hour schedule on Facebook; typical show about 40 minutes. Approved 2026 schedule channel remains that official Facebook page. This FAQ does not quote live seats or today’s roll-call time.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Not published as a separate PE/duty NLT (this is not a published PE gateway). 2017: be there for the posted roll call / show time. Late = not marked present.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

Not published as a PE gateway. No 30-day PE icon (no AMC PAX page).

Dated 2017 article said the two most common destinations then were Travis AFB, Calif. and Joint Base Andrews, Md. That is not a 2026 rotator promise and is not Patriot Express. A 2017 photo shows a C-5M. Open the live Facebook 72-hour before you travel. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Dated 2017 official article only; not re-confirmed 2026: Free long-term parking at the terminal for 60 days; windshield slip; call the terminal to extend. No 2026 AMC HTML restates this. Treat as dated. Do not invent a garage from unofficial sites.

What lodging is nearby on-base and off-base?

Dated 2017 article: “lodging is available across the street if they happen to miss a flight.” It named Kelly Inn, 250 Goodrich Dr., 210-925-1844. That is 2017. It is not the 2026 Air Force Inns matching property.

Do not GPS 1750 Femoyer and call it the PAX terminal (terminal is 407 S. Frank Luke on Kelly Field). Do not treat 2017 Kelly Inn / 210-925-1844 as current official lodging.

AF Inns also lists JBSA - Randolph as a separate property. This FAQ is Lackland.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

Not published on an AMC Lackland PAX page (there isn’t one).

Dated 2017 article: after selection, magnetometer and x-ray (TSA guidelines); boarding pass and bag tags; boxed meal option $5.55, exact change if available; anti-hijacking slideshow before taxi. $5.55 is 2017. Fees change; do not treat it as a 2026 price.

No official USO center page for this passenger terminal was verified (USO/Fisher House dinner stories are not a PAX hold-room). Do not plan showers, lockers, or terminal Wi-Fi from unofficial directories.

What documents are required?

Dated 2017: on leave, Form 988, CAC. Dependents cannot travel Space-A without their sponsor unless they have a letter signed by the sponsor’s command. Categories I–VI; article said Cat 3 and Cat 6 were the most common out of this terminal then.

2026: DoDI 4515.13 + AMC Form 140; print the sent email (2017: no reply). Have documents on your person.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Dated 2017 article: 2 bags per person, 70 pounds apiece from this terminal; aircraft/terminal can limit bags. No PE head tax printed (not a published PE gateway). $5.55 boxed meal, exact change is 2017, not a 2026 fee table.

No 2026 AMC HTML restates bags. HQ AMC / DoDI rules still apply in general.

Can I travel with pets from here?

Why no email reply?

2017 official article: emails do not receive a reply. Keep the sent copy (date/time = sign-up). Workbook repeats that.

Is Kelly Inn still “across the street”?

2017 article named Kelly Inn, 250 Goodrich Dr., 210-925-1844. 2026 AF Inns matching property is Inns of Lackland, 1750 Femoyer St. Do not invent that Femoyer is walking distance to Frank Luke. Confirm lodging with AF Inns.

Is the Facebook page Lackland or Randolph?

Both names are on the URL. Approved as the official schedule channel. The counter at 407 S. Frank Luke is Lackland/Kelly Field. Randolph is a different installation. Do not GPS Randolph Bldg 8 and call it this terminal.

Is 60-day free parking still good?

2017 article only; not re-confirmed 2026. Dated.

$5.55 boxed meals, exact change?

2017. Not treated as a 2026 price. Card vs cash in 2026 is Not published.

Still mostly Travis and Andrews?

2017 “most common” line. Not a 2026 30-day PE. Read today’s Facebook 72-hour.

Which gate for Frank Luke Drive?

Not printed on AMC or the 2017 article. Official Lackland 24/7 list includes Luke East. That is not the same as “the PAX gate.” Confirm with VCC / BDOC 210-671-2018.

Can dependents hop without the sponsor?

2017: not without a command letter. Use current AMC / DoDI 4515.13 rules; this FAQ does not invent a 2026 CAT V template URL for Lackland.

Is Lackland on the HQ AMC email form?
