Space-A flights at the AMC Kuwait Cargo City Gateway are processed at Al Mubarak Air Base, on the cargo side of Kuwait International Airport. Official AMC traveler pages list this CENTCOM gateway separately from Ali Al Salem Air Base. The same pages state there is no Kuwaiti immigration at Cargo City, so travel is limited to active-duty members and authorized DoD civilians on orders; dependents, retirees, and contractors must use the commercial Kuwait City International Airport.

Where is the passenger terminal?

AMC Kuwait - Cargo City Gateway, Al Mubarak Air Base.

Workbook address matches. ICAO on the page: KWI/OKKK (Cargo City). GPS a Cargo City / Al Mubarak pin, not the Kuwait Airways civilian terminal. No published terminal-map URL on the AMC page. No building number on the HTML.

Do not confuse Cargo City with Kuwait City International Airport (KCIA) passenger terminals, Ali Al Salem AB, or Camp Arifjan — the page sends different populations to those places.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

Not published as a named gate list on the AMC HTML. This is a restricted theater gateway. Inbound travel is “pre-coordinated prior to flight arrival” in most cases.

There is no shuttle to/from Cargo City (page, twice). The shuttle that does run is Camp Arifjan ↔ Ali Al Salem AB ↔ Camp Buehring, daily 0830–1800:

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (AMC page): 24 HRS.

Commercial phone: None on the official page and on the live AMC directory (“Commercial None”). Do not invent a Kuwait city number. Do not publish AMC (312) as commercial — Cargo City DSN is 318.

Directory extra: live AMC directory (27 Aug 2026) prints DSN (318) 450-1826 / 1827. The dedicated page contact block shows 1826 only. Flag: 1827 is directory-only. Do not silently drop it or promote it as the only line.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Restricted eligibility first (see extras): Cargo City Space-A is Active Duty and authorized DoD civilians on orders only.

Then verify which mailbox the live official page vs live directory is showing, and use that address — this FAQ will not pick. Also check the HQ AMC Space-A page for the Travel Self-Signup Tool (live for all AMC locations since 26 March 2026) and in-person at the terminal.

HQ AMC does not process email sign-up. If you use the AMC email form, print the completed form or confirmation. If you get no confirmation, the page says contact the passenger terminal (DSN, not a commercial).

How and when do I mark present?

The AMC page does not use “mark present.” Duty-standby and Space-A passengers must check with their respective gateways for availability, check-in times, and processing. Remote email is not presence.

Inbound: most Cargo City travel is pre-coordinated before arrival.

When is roll call?

Not printed as a fixed “N hours prior” on the HTML. No Roll Call icon on the Dec 2025 snapshot. Check with the terminal / your gateway. A 72-hour icon existed on that snapshot (see schedules). Do not invent a 3-hour counter time from another base.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Outbound (re-deploying) duty on orders: check with your respective gateway — not a single Cargo City clock.

In most cases:

  • Air Force processed at Ali Al Salem AB
  • All other services processed at Camp Arifjan

PE passengers processed at Camp Arifjan go to the Passenger Travel office for booking/reservation, check-in times, and processing.

Late-arrival rebooking language is not on this HTML. Do not invent it.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

The page discusses PE passengers but does not publish a PE city list or a standing “we are a PE gateway to X” sentence.

Inbound PE processing (AMC page): Air Force PE passengers go to Ali Al Salem AB for in-country processing; all other services go to Camp Arifjan, unless prior approval is given.

A 30-day icon on the 10 Dec 2025 snapshot pointed at standing-named `KUWAIT_30DAY_.pdf` (folder still labeled 5 EAMS Terminal). That is a product URL from a Dec 2025 capture — re-open the live icon; do not treat the filename as today’s board. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Not published on the AMC HTML. No shuttle to/from Cargo City. Do not invent a max-day figure. Coordinate movement through your unit / Ali Al Salem / Arifjan as the page instructs.

What lodging is nearby on-base and off-base?

Not published on the AMC HTML. There is no matching Air Force Inns property for Cargo City / Al Mubarak on https://af.dodlodging.net/ (27 Aug 2026 directory). Do not invent a lodge name or nightly rate. Theater lodging is a unit/gateway problem (Ali Al Salem / Arifjan), not a Cargo City Inns desk.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

Not published on the AMC HTML. Do not copy unofficial amenity lists. ICE comment card is linked.

What documents are required?

Space-A at Cargo City: Active Duty and authorized DoD civilians on orders only (page restriction). Travel orders, ID, passports/visas as FCG requires. Have documents on your person.

Contractors, dependents, and retirees: not processed for Space-A at KWI/OKKK. They must travel through Kuwait City International Airport (KCIA) because there is no Kuwaiti Immigration at Cargo City.

Everyone: Electronic Foreign Clearance Guide. DoDI 4515.13 still governs category eligibility where Space-A is allowed at all.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags (AMC page): 2 checked bags per person, 70 lb and 62 linear inches each. One carry-on plus one personal item that fits under a seat.

Head tax / FIS (dated capture — confirm live): Wayback 10 Dec 2025 HTML: $40.81 “as of current” to enter the United States, debit card or cash. Credit card and Eagle Cash not accepted. Live 27 Aug 2026 snippets did not reprint that fee. Treat $40.81 as dated Dec 2025, not a locked 2026 number. Fees change. Re-read the live page.

Can I travel with pets from here?

The AMC chrome links the Pet Travel page. The Cargo City body does not publish a pet-slot policy. Given the AD / DoD-civ-on-orders-only restriction and no Kuwaiti immigration at the gateway, do not plan a dependent+pet Space-A through Cargo City from a blog. See FCG and the AMC Pet Travel page. Who is actually allowed to Space-A here?

Active Duty and authorized DoD civilians on orders only. Contractors, dependents, and retirees go through KCIA. That is the restriction on the official page.

Why can’t retirees use Cargo City?

No Kuwaiti Immigration at KWI/OKKK (Cargo City). The page sends contractor / civilian (dependent/retiree) travel to KCIA.

Which signup email is correct?

Both are official. This FAQ does not pick. Verify 386AEW.728AMS.VERSARPAXTERM@us.af.mil (terminal page) and amab.paxtermlbas@asab.afcent.af.mil (directory) on the live sources the day you sign up.

Is there a commercial phone?

No. Directory and page: Commercial None. DSN 318-450-1826 (directory also 1827).

Is Cargo City 24/7?

Hours of operation: 24 HRS on the official page. That is not a promise that Space-A roll calls run every hour.

Can I ride the Arifjan–Ali Al Salem shuttle to Cargo City?

No. The page says there is no shuttle to/from Cargo City (repeated).

I am Air Force PE inbound — do I stay at Cargo City?

In most cases you process at Ali Al Salem AB. Other services: Camp Arifjan, unless prior approval is given.

What is USAF Connect for?

Ali Al Salem passengers or transiting passengers: 386 AEW → Passenger Terminal → Mission information.

How late can I submit an ETP for a pickup?

NLT 72 hours prior to flight arrival/departure.

Is $40.81 still the U.S. entry fee?

Dated 10 Dec 2025 capture. Live Aug 2026 snippets did not reprint it. Confirm the live page. Payment rule on that capture: debit or cash, not credit, not Eagle Cash.

Is this the same as Ali Al Salem or KCIA?

No. Cargo City / Al Mubarak is the restricted AMC gateway. Ali Al Salem and Camp Arifjan are the in-country processing locations the page names. KCIA is the civilian immigration path for people Cargo City will not take.

Does the 40-location AMC email form include Kuwait?

Not in the 27 Aug 2026 form-page snippet list. Do not invent a dropdown label.
