Where is the passenger terminal?

Building number and street address: Not published on the Space-A, 72-hour, or signup pages. Those pages name a passenger terminal / passenger service center and state the terminal will close at night. Official Contact Us lists Visiting Aircraft Line (Air Terminal) Attendant: 257-1604 without a building — that is not a substitute for the Space-A SOP.

GPS MCAS Kaneohe Bay / PHNG, not Hickam Bldg 2028 / 355 Mamiya Avenue and not Daniel K. Inouye International. No official passenger-terminal map URL. Do not invent a hangar number from blogs or from a C-40A hangar environmental assessment that mentions “MCAS Terminal” geographically.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The Space-A / 72-hour HTML does not print Space-A gate names or gate hours. Inns of the Corps Hawaii is described as by the front gate entrance (G Street, Bldg 6534) — that is lodging, not a PAX-gate clock.

CAC / DoD ID holders use an open vehicle-access gate. A late show after the terminal closes at night is a billeting problem, not a 24/7 PAX counter. Confirm with the 72-hour line (808) 257-0777 / Space-A email before you drive. This FAQ did not call.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (official Space-A / 72-hour pages — wins;): Not published as a daily desk block. Official FAQ: the passenger terminal will close at night; be prepared to defray billeting. Do not invent hours from the 72-hour phone. Do not copy the snack-bar clock (0600–1300, M–F) onto the PAX desk.

72-hour schedule line (official 72-hour page — workbook commercial): Comm (808) 257-0777. Do not call the Squadron Duty Officer cell or Flight Planning for Space-A information. SDOs are directed not to provide flight information; that cell is for aircrew / flight ops.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Official FAQ Q5: online form, email MCBH_MCAS_SPACEA@usmc.mil, or telefax with family-member names. Date/time of signup = sent-form / email / telefax header. Active duty: send no earlier than the effective date/time of leave. Emailed leave papers or command-sponsorship letters do not sign you up.

Also print MCBH_MCAS_SPACEA_ShareO@usmc.mil (board/installation signup line). Official signup form: provide a valid email for date confirmation; they do not respond to verification-request emails.

Signup duration — unresolved official conflict; print both; never pick:

Unofficial spacea.net “45 days” is a lead that happens to match Q3 — still not verification.

Do not use Hickam / AMC Facebook signup. The installation page lists Hickam AMC Facebook and NASNI Facebook as informational sites “MCB Hawaii Kaneohe Bay Air Terminal has no direct input” and labels AMC Space-A signup “this is not for MCB Hawaii Kaneohe Bay.”

Kaneohe is not on the HQ AMC 40-location email form. HQ AMC does not process this location. Print the form/email. This FAQ did not call or email. Telefax number: not published on the Space-A HTML.

How and when do I mark present?

The pages do not use “mark present.” Remote email / form is not presence. Official 72-hour page: check the passenger service center for the Space-A show time before leaving the terminal; be ready for immediate processing and boarding. Have documents on your person. The terminal closes at night.

When is roll call?

No roll-call product URL. Dated board text (policy line, not today’s show): “ROLL CALL WILL COMMENCE 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED AIRCRAFT DEPARTURE.” Seats are normally identified as early as 24 hours and as late as 30 minutes prior. Check PSC for that mission’s show time. This FAQ does not quote live showtimes.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Not published as a PE/duty NLT (this is not a PE gateway). Space-required / cargo still come first and may bump Space-A at any point. Duty/PCS official travel is not this leftover-seat counter. DMO Passenger Travel linked from the 72-hour nav is official/PCS travel, not this Space-A desk. Agricultural inspection is published approximately one hour prior to scheduled departure (fresh fruit/vegetables except pineapples confiscated).

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

No. No 30-day PE icon. Organic / mission-dependent Marine airlift. Official FAQ trend language names NAS North Island (San Diego) as “our #1 destination” — that is FAQ wording, not this week’s board and not a PE rotator. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Dated 72-hour headings observed in research (do not treat as today’s availability):

  • Installation-page capture: INFORMATION IS CURRENT AS OF MAY 15, 2026 at 1039L — MAY 18, 2026 0830 departure toward KCOS (heading only; seat counts are not quoted here).

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Official board/installation block: there is no long-term parking available at the terminal. Parking is reserved for terminal personnel. Max days: not published beyond that ban. Do not invent a lot.

Ground transportation (official FAQ Q21): no scheduled on-base bus; off-base thebus.org; taxi / friends / rental car. Estimated cab costs in that FAQ are not republished here as current rates. spacea.net bus-to-Waikiki writeups are unofficial.

Do not use Hickam / JBPHH lodging for Kaneohe. Official Space-A pages do not print lodging. No nightly rates here. Unofficial spacea.net second billeting (808) 257-2409 is not verification.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

Official FAQ Q20: snack bar at the terminal, hours 0600–1300, M–F. Other facilities on base require walking or other transport. USO, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers: not published on the Space-A HTML. Unofficial “no lockers / no USO” lines are not verification.

What documents are required?

Duty / space-required: orders and destination documents on your person.

Space-A: DoDI 4515.13 categories; official 72-hour page reprints ID-card types (DD Form 2 green/blue/red, DD Form 1173, DD Form 1853, etc.). Board: have all required documentation for OCONUS travel. Active duty must be in leave / pass. Command-sponsored unaccompanied (CAT V) needs the commander’s letter — the letter alone does not register you. Do not pack passports in a checked bag.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Official 72-hour page: as a rule, except C-20G and smaller, (2) bags not to exceed 70 lbs each, plus a small carry-on.

FAQ Q15 extra limits — print; do not silently merge: typically two bags 70 lb each; C-20 may limit to 25 lb; C-40 40 lb per person; family members may pool; oversized >62 linear inches counts as two pieces. FAQ Q16: Space-A cannot pay for excess (duty passengers only).

PE / head-tax fees: not published as a Kaneohe PE table (not a PE gateway). FAQ Q19: some terminals collect a head tax on commercial contract missions — not a Kaneohe dollar figure. Do not copy $41.63.

Can I travel with pets from here?

Official FAQ Q18: No. DoD reserved pet shipments for PCS passengers on commercially chartered aircraft only. Do not plan a pet on leftover Marine hops. Housing/vet pet pages are not a Space-A pet slot.

Where are schedules posted?

Official 72-hour page (APPROVED URL above) and (808) 257-0777. Recheck; dated headings have sat on the board. No 30-day URL. No passenger-terminal Facebook (footers facebook.com/CFLSW/ and facebook.com/marines are not a Kaneohe PAX channel). Do not use facebook.com/HickamAMC.

Is a stale April/May 2026 heading proof the terminal closed?

No. Stale board ≠ closed. Call 0777 and reopen the live 72-hour page. This FAQ does not quote those headings’ seat counts.

Can I use Hickam signup or Hickam Facebook?

No. Official page says AMC signup is not for Kaneohe. Hickam is JBPHH Bldg 2028, different terminal.

Does Kaneohe have self-sign-up kiosks?

Official Q6: MCAS Kaneohe Bay does not have self-sign-up service. Use the form / email / telefax.

Is 257-1604 the Space-A recording?

No. Contact Us VAL / Air Terminal Attendant. Recording / 72-hour line is (808) 257-0777.

Where do I park overnight?

You don’t, at the terminal. Official: no long-term parking; reserved for terminal personnel. Plan Inns of the Corps / commercial lodging. Terminal closes at night.

Is this on the AMC 40-location form?

No. Supplemental USMC terminal. Email the Kaneohe boxes / use the official form.

Pets in the hold?

Official Q18: No for Space-A.
