Official wing pages call the 190th one of two Air National Guard units in Kansas and fly KC-135 Stratotankers from this tanker ramp. The passenger function is a Kansas Guard air terminal on the Topeka airfield, not McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita.

Where is the passenger terminal?

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The Space-A page does not print gate names or gate hours.

From official 190 ARW Newcomers (live index 27 Aug 2026): access is controlled. Military members, retirees, dependents, and government civilians with a valid military ID can access through the main installation gate. Driving: you arrive at Topeka Blvd. and 57th Street. Do not assume an after-hours walk-up without a credential. Confirm with Security Forces / the passenger counter before you drive.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (official Space-A page — wins;): 0700–1500, Monday–Thurday (page spelling Thurday, not “Thursday”). Adjusted hours for departures outside normal duty hours. Do not silently “correct” the spelling in a way that invents Friday hours — the printed window is Monday–Thursday.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

In person at the Forbes Field Passenger Terminal, and/or download an electronically alterable sign-up sheet from the 190th ARW website or Air Force Portal, fill it out, and email 190ARW.LRS.SpaceA@us.af.mil. The page also links AMC Form 140.

Forbes is not on the HQ AMC 40-location form. HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Print the sent mail / form. This FAQ did not call or email.

How and when do I mark present?

Not published as a local “mark present” sentence. HQ AMC: you must be present at the terminal for selection; email is not presence. Have documents and bags with you at Bldg 662. Flights are advertised when seats exist — being on the email list is not a seat.

When is roll call?

Not published as a standing “N hours prior” and no roll-call PDF URL. Show time is whatever the Forbes Field Passenger Terminal Facebook post / counter says for that mission. Recheck Facebook (login wall typical) and the counter. This FAQ does not quote live showtimes.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Not published as a PE/duty NLT (this is not a PE gateway). Hours 0700–1500 Mon–Thu, adjusted for off-duty departures. Duty passengers still need orders. Late arrivals are not promised a seat.

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

No. Official banner: no regular flights to any one location; advertise-when-available. No 30-day PE icon. Do not plan a rotator from Forbes from a blog. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Not published. Passenger agents “want travel comfortable” is not an amenities list. Do not invent wifi/snacks.

What documents are required?

Official Space-A page:

  • Active Duty / AGR: CAC and approved leave form
  • Guard / Reserve: CAC & DD Form 1853
  • Retirees: DD Form 2 (Blue ID) — that is the page’s wording; current USID cards are not restated here. Bring the current retiree ID the PSA will accept.
  • Dependents over 10: ID Card (DD Form 1173)
  • Dependents under 10: birth certificates & SSN
  • Passports for overseas travel except active duty stationed overseas (dependents of AD stationed OS do require passports)

Family members of AD and retired members must travel with their sponsor unless: sponsor deployed 30 days or more (bottom of CAT IV) or 365 days or more (bottom of CAT III). Deployed family members need a command-sponsorship letter with the sponsor’s dates.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?
