Air Mobility Command lists the site as an ATF, not a standing full passenger terminal. The 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron supports the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, which official Fairchild fact sheets call the largest KC-135 Stratotanker unit in the Air Force. The same installation hosts the U.S. Air Force Survival School, the 336th Training Group.

Where is the passenger terminal?

AMC Fairchild AFB Passenger Terminal, 800 S. Hansell Ave., Bld. 2090, Fairchild AFB, WA 99011.

GPS that Hansell Avenue / Bldg 2090 address, not a generic “Fairchild AFB” pin. On base, about 20 miles west of Spokane (fairchild.af.mil AMC Passenger Terminal page). The AMC HTML does not publish a terminal-map URL.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

The AMC Fairchild ATF page does not print gate names or gate hours.

From fairchild.af.mil Visitor Information (search-indexed official page; direct fetch 403 on 27 Aug 2026):

  • Monday–Friday 0600–1600
  • Saturday, Sunday, and federal holidays: CLOSED
  • After hours and holiday closures: passes issued at the Main Gate

CAC / DoD ID holders use an open vehicle-access gate. A Saturday or 0500 roll call with no pass is a planning problem even though Main Gate can issue after-hours passes — build extra time. Confirm with VCC / the counter.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours (AMC page): 0800–1600 Monday–Friday excluding federal holidays. fairchild.af.mil: Monday–Friday 0800–1600.

The terminal is only manned during Space-Required and Space-Available missions (so a quiet weekday can still be closed even inside 0800–1600 if nothing is moving — the page does not print a “closed if no mission” clock beyond that sentence).

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Email 92lrs.passenger@us.af.mil, or use the HQ AMC Space-A email form and select Fairchild AFB WA.

HQ AMC does not process sign-up. Print the completed form or confirmation and bring it. AMC offers a Travel Self-Signup Tool for AMC locations — use whichever channel the live AMC Space-A page is pointing to the day you sign up.

After-hours / weekend intent (required): passengers who want Space-A on flights with roll call 1500–0700 Monday–Friday, or any time on weekends, must tell the terminal NLT 1500 on the last duty day prior. If nobody declares, a roll call will not be held (fairchild.af.mil wording). Declare via (509) 247-3406 option 1.

How and when do I mark present?

The AMC page does not use the phrase “mark present.” Remote email sign-up is not presence. Be at the AMC ticket counter for roll call with documents and all bags.

If roll call is after 1500, on a weekend, or on a holiday, you must already have declared intent by 1500 the last duty day or there may be no roll call.

When is roll call?

2 hours and 20 minutes prior to departure at the AMC ticket counter, unless the 72-hour product says otherwise.

Conflict on the after-hours window: AMC page 1500 to 0700 Mon–Fri (plus any weekend). fairchild.af.mil 1500 and 0630 Mon–Fri (plus weekends/holidays). AMC page (0700) wins for this FAQ; flag 0630. Confirm when you declare intent.

The Roll Call icon on the AMC page has been wired to dated `Fairchild 7D (DATE).pdf` files (e.g. 15 June 26 on the June 2026 capture; 12 Dec 25 on the Dec 2025 capture). Those are not a standing URL. Recheck the live icon. All flights can change.

When should duty / PE passengers check in?

Duty / Space-required: in line NLT 2 hours 20 minutes prior. Late arrivals go to Customer Service for re-booking (or as PCS/TDY orders instruct), not automatic boarding.

PE (when a PE mission is advertised): duty passengers may check in no more than 24 hours prior, limited to passenger-terminal operating hours. Early check-in hours “will be posted and advertised upon notice of departing PE flights.”

Does this terminal operate Patriot Express flights? If yes, to where?

Not as a full-time PE gateway. The AMC page is titled Air Transportation Function. There is no 30-day PE icon. The HTML only mentions PE as an option for duty passengers when PE missions depart, with early check-in capped by 0800–1600 desk hours.

It does not name PE cities. A UK ETA / GAR banner (FCG United Kingdom; RAF Mildenhall as a contact) is standing travel-document guidance, not a promise of a UK PE this week.

Dated 72-hour PDFs are mission boards, not a rotator list. Unofficial “occasional Pacific Northwest hops” copy is not a city table. Check the live 72-hour icon. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Where is short-term and long-term parking, max days, and pass rules?

Not published on the AMC HTML.

The linked AMC Gram Fairchild_03_2025.pdf (March 2025 — dated, not current) is described on unofficial mirrors as placing long-term parking across the street from Bldg 2090. Do not treat a March 2025 pamphlet as today’s rule. Ask the counter; do not invent a max-day figure.

What lodging is nearby on-base and off-base?

On base (official AF Inns page only, checked 27 Aug 2026):

Pet-friendly rooms: call the desk; AF Inns says do not rely on the web form for pets/children. No nightly rates here.

Off-base: Not listed on the AMC HTML (Spokane is the civilian city on the AF Inns attractions line). No endorsement list in this FAQ.

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

AMC HTML: no USO block. Flight meals are sold at the Warrior Dining Facility Flight Kitchen, 100 West Bong St, Fairchild AFB, WA 99011. Arrive 45 minutes prior to roll call. Cash and card accepted.

fairchild.af.mil AMC Passenger Terminal (official installation page; not the AMC AFPIMS HTML) lists water fountain, bathrooms, children’s play area, family room, and a new Mommy room. Smoking not permitted on the aircraft (that page). Showers and lockers are not published. USO is not listed on either official page used here.

What documents are required?

Duty: funded orders; late pax go to Customer Service.

Space-A: DoDI 4515.13 eligibility.

If your itinerary involves the United Kingdom: AMC banner — review the FCG entry for the UK for GAR (create a GAR account). From 8 Jan 2024, UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) — official GOV.UK ETA guidance is linked. Contact RAF Mildenhall passenger terminal for GAR questions per the banner. That is destination-document guidance, not a Fairchild city list.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Bags (AMC page): 2 checked bags, 70 lb and 62 linear inches each. One carry-on plus one personal item that fits under a seat.

Space-A/PE head tax: not printed on the Fairchild AMC HTML. Do not invent a fee.

Can I travel with pets from here?

The AMC page links AMC Pet Travel. It does not publish a Fairchild-specific pet-slot policy. Confirm with the counter before you count on a pet space. You own CDC/destination paperwork.

Where are schedules posted?

On the official AMC Fairchild ATF page:

  • 72-Hour Flight Schedule icon — historically dated files (`Fairchild 72HR (15 June 26).pdf`, earlier `12 DEC 25`, live index has also shown `24 APR 25`). Dated mission PDFs ≠ a standing 72-hour URL. Open the live icon; do not bookmark last month’s filename.
  • Roll Call / 7-day icon — same dated-filename pattern
  • 72-hour recording (509) 247-3406 option 2 (updated daily per fairchild.af.mil)
  • AMC Gram March 2025 (dated local pamphlet)
  • fairchild.af.mil also says a schedule is posted inside the terminal and on Facebook. The AMC AFPIMS page does not link a Fairchild terminal Facebook. Treat Facebook as unofficial unless you confirm the live installation page.

All flights subject to change. The delay banner on the June 2026 capture read “All flights are on time” — that is a status stamp, not a promise. This FAQ does not quote live seats.

Is Fairchild a PE gateway like Norfolk or BWI?

No. It is an ATF. No 30-day PE board. PE is mentioned only for duty check-in when a PE mission is advertised.

Can I show at 1605 on a Friday for a 1900 roll call?

Not unless you declared intent NLT 1500 the last duty day (Friday 1500 for a Friday-night / weekend mission). If nobody called, no roll call. Desk hours end 1600 and federal holidays are closed.

Is the after-hours cutoff 0700 or 0630?

Conflict. AMC page 0700; fairchild.af.mil 0630. Use the AMC page, confirm when you call option 1.

Do I need a UK ETA to fly Space-A out of Fairchild?

Only if your destination is the UK (banner + GOV.UK links). Fairchild itself is CONUS. GAR/ETA are not a Fairchild boarding pass.

Where do I buy a flight meal?

Warrior DFAC Flight Kitchen, 100 West Bong St. 45 minutes before roll call. Cash and card. Not sold as a guaranteed AMC boxed meal from the ticket counter.

Is DSN 312-657-3406 a commercial number I can dial from a cell?

No. (312) is DSN. Commercial is (509) 247-3406.

March 2025 Gram for parking?

Dated (more than a year old as of 27 Aug 2026). Linked from the official page; do not treat parking/amenity lines as current without asking the desk.

Are they open on Columbus Day?

Federal holidays excluded from 0800–1600 hours. Do not assume a holiday mission without the recording / 72-hour icon.

Children’s play area / family room?

Printed on fairchild.af.mil, not on the AMC AFPIMS HTML. Confirm in person. Showers/lockers unpublished.

AF Inns on Hansell Ave?

AF Inns address is 300 Short, not Bldg 2090. No walking time on the AMC page.
