Last verified 27 August 2026. Hours, fees, and presence rules change. Confirm with this terminal’s official page before you travel. Pop’s is unofficial.

Where is the passenger terminal?

Not published. No AMC directory row, no AMC `/Terminals/` page, and no barksdale.af.mil page names a passenger-terminal building or street.

Do not GPS 801 Kenney Ave (Getting Here: TMO household-goods office, third floor of the Mission Support Group). That is not a Space-A counter. Airport / installation pins are not the terminal. Unofficial “location approximate” listings are flagged unofficial.

How do I get on base / which gate should I use?

There is no PAX-terminal page to print a passenger gate. From barksdale.af.mil Information / Gate Hours (Wayback HTTP 200 17 Mar 2026; live search index 27 Aug 2026 matching):

  • (West) Shreveport Gate — main gate at the end of the Shreveport-Barksdale bridge. 24-hour operation. Visitors without a pass are processed here. When Visitor Centers are closed, the west gate will write visitor passes.
  • (North) Bossier City Gate — North Gate Rd. Easiest published access to Barksdale Inn. 0600–1745 Monday–Friday; 0800–1400 Saturday; closed Sunday.
  • (Industrial) East Gate + East Gate Visitor’s Center and search area — 0545–1745 Monday–Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday. Closed on federal holidays and Family Days. Commercial vehicles must enter and exit East Gate during those hours; other gates turn them around.
  • Bodcau Gate — 0430–2359 Monday–Thursday; 0430–0100 Friday–Sunday.

Visitor Centers (REAL ID required for visitor passes / base access starting 7 May 2025):

  • West Shreveport Gate VCC: 0600–2200 Monday–Sunday. Phone 318-456-4984.
  • East Gate VCC: 0600–1745 Monday–Friday.
  • After VCC close: west gate writes passes. Questions line on that page: 318-456-3587.

Gate-status information line (2 SFS press release): 318-529-BASE (2273). Holiday/training closures: the Gate Hours page links 2nd SFS 2026 Holiday and Training Closures — open that file; do not invent a holiday clock.

CAC / DoD ID holders use an open vehicle-access gate. Retirees and dependents without a current pass should not assume a Sunday 0400 show at Bossier or East.

What are hours, phone, DSN, and email?

Hours: Not published. Homepage-only with no PAX clock on barksdale.af.mil or the AMC directory row. Gate hours and lodging 24/7/365 are not terminal hours. Do not copy unofficial 0800–1600 directories.

How do I sign up for Space-A?

Workbook / AMC directory method is email 2lrsato.distro@us.af.mil. HQ AMC does not process this location (not on the 40-location list). Print the sent message. If you get no confirmation, the directory commercial is (318) 456-8814.

There is no local field list, QR code, or walk-in SOP on official HTML. Unofficial “no Space-A from this location” writeups are leads only — AMC still lists Barksdale as Non-AMC CONUS. Confirm with ATO before you drive.

How and when do I mark present?

Not published. No official page uses “mark present,” roll-call desk, or a show-time clock. Remote email is not presence. Do not invent a counter-open time.

When is roll call?

Is there a USO, food, Wi-Fi, showers, lockers?

Not published as passenger-terminal amenities (there is no terminal page). Lodging-page Wi-Fi / coffee / fitness are inn amenities, not a PAX hold room. Do not plan showers or lockers at a counter that has no published hours.

What documents are required?

Duty: Travel orders. Space-A: DoDI 4515.13 eligibility plus ID / passports / visas / FCG as required. Have documents on your person. No local CAT-V template is hosted on barksdale.af.mil.

What are baggage limits and Space-A/PE fees if published?

Not published. Do not copy another terminal’s 2×70 lb or PE head-tax line.

Can I travel with pets from here?

Not published as a PAX pet-slot policy. Getting Here TMO pet language is household-goods shipment, not Space-A. Barksdale Inn has limited pet TLF — call the desk. See the AMC Pet Travel page.

Where are schedules posted?

Is https://www.barksdale.af.mil/ the passenger-terminal page?

No. AMC’s webpage cell is the homepage fallback. P1/P2 research found no Space-A SOP. Do not treat news, 2 LRS mission text (“agile logistics support…anytime, anywhere”), or Base Facilities hours as a PAX page.

Unofficial sites say Barksdale has no Space-A. Skip it?

Unofficial (spacea.net-class) “no Space-A / ATF NCOIC Sept 2024” is a lead only. Live AMC Non-AMC CONUS still lists Barksdale on 27 Aug 2026. Frequency is unclear / mission-dependent. Confirm with 2lrsato.distro@us.af.mil / (318) 456-8814 before you travel. Do not treat either a blog “yes” or a blog “no” as the board.

Can I dial (312) 456-8814 from a cell?

No. AMC prints DSN (312) 456-8814. 312 is not a commercial prefix. Call (318) 456-8814.

Is 801 Kenney Ave the Space-A counter?

Which gate for a lodging night before a maybe-mission?

Gate Hours: North (Bossier) Gate is the easiest published route to Barksdale Inn. Sunday it is closed — use West Shreveport (24/7) and VCC 0600–2200 if you need a pass.

Do I need REAL ID?

Gate Hours: starting 7 May 2025, BAFB requires REAL ID for visitor passes and base access. Temporary driver’s licenses are not acceptable on that list.

Is there a 72-hour PDF or terminal Facebook?

Not published. Do not invent a URL from the phone number. Dated mission PowerPoints are not a standing board.

Are Barksdale Inn rates in this FAQ?

No. Getting Here prints VQ/TLF/DV figures; they are omitted here. Call 318-456-3091.

Is this a Patriot Express terminal?

No on official HTML (no 30-day PE icon, no AMC terminal page).

2 LRS vs 2LRSATO — same office?

AMC mailbox is 2lrsato.distro@us.af.mil (Air Terminal Operations distro). The 2 LRS unit page does not reprint traveler hours. Use the AMC mailbox, not a guessed 2 BW PA box (2bw.pa@us.af.mil is Public Affairs).
